Functional Description

Display Unit

System Mounting

• Face Mounting: A hinged support allows the display to be installed directly over the front panel of any full-size rack. It provides access to the rack's buffered output connectors, user interface buttons, and switches without disconnecting or turning off the display. The Display Interface Module (DIM) must be installed in slot 15 for this option. Mini-racks are incompatible with Face Mounting.

• Rack Mounting: The display mounts on 19-inch EIA rails and can be located up to 100 feet away. With an external power supply, it can be positioned up to 4000 feet away.

• Panel Mounting: Involves mounting the display in a panel cutout in the same cabinet or up to 100 feet away. With an external power supply, distances up to 4000 feet are possible.

• Independent Mounting: The display is flush-mounted against a wall or panel and can be placed up to 100 feet away. With an external power supply, distances up to 4000 feet are achievable.
