Removal and Insertion

  • Field power must be removed before disconnecting the device.
  • The unit can be removed or inserted with system power energized only under specific conditions:
    • Compatible with KJ1501X1-BC1 System Dual DC/DC Power Supply with either 24 VDC or 12 VDC input power.
    • Primary circuit wiring inductance must be less than 23 µH.
    • Open circuit voltage (Ui) of 12.6 VDC and an Lo of less than 23 µH (including wire inductance) is required.
  • Non-sparking field circuits must be de-energized before device removal or insertion.
  • A terminal block fuse cannot be removed with field power energized for non-sparking circuits.
  • A rotary keying system ensures compatibility between I/O cards and terminal blocks after installation.

Maintenance and Adjustment

  • The unit contains no user-serviceable parts and should not be disassembled.
  • Calibration is not required.
