Description

• Part of the VersaMax series by GE Automation and Controls
• Used to extend the functionality of a VersaMax programmable logic controller or an input and output station
• Increases the number of connected modules

Features

• Two 26-pin female D-shell expansion ports
• Upper port receives incoming expansion cable
• Lower port used for daisy-chaining to the next expansion rack or attaching terminator plug
• Must be installed in slot 0 (leftmost position) of the rack

Specifications

• Can be used in a multi-rack expansion system with an Expansion Transmitter Module in the PLC or NIU I/O Station
• Supports up to seven expansion racks
• Allows up to 15 meters of expansion cable length with any non-isolated Expansion Receiver Module
• Supports connecting a single expansion rack to a PLC main rack or NIU I/O Station (single-ended configuration) with a maximum cable length of 1 meter
• No terminator plug required in the expansion rack
• All I/O and communications modules can be used in expansion racks
• Some analog modules may require specific revisions
• LED indicators for power status and expansion port status
